Hello...my name is Heather, and i have a question,that ihope U can enlighten me on.....to have an obe, is it always necessary to go through the buzzing,whooshing sounds...the fear......do you always see or feel yourself floating....and at the moment, do you automatically know you R having one.....can you have one,and not definitely know, but U know something is off....i had an experience, which i believe was an obe, but didn't include any of the above signals....would like to share with U, if you have time....Thank you
 Hi Heather, You actually caught me at a good time – just as I’m about to start sorting through a huge stack of emails so you’re not getting buried yet. Astral projections happen in everybody and most people never know it – it’s taken as a dream. The strange sounds at the beginning usually happen when you’re falling asleep whether or not you’re purposely trying to obtain an obe. It’s also possible to know you’re in a dream (lucid dreaming) and then switch over into an obe. Some people even prefer this method for inducing obe’s but I personally have trouble this way and it rarely happens. It’s hard to explain but sometimes you can know for sure and other times you’ll never know. If your instincts tell you it was real then there’s a good chance it was. If it happens again, try using something to help you verify the authenticity when you wake up. If you can physically touch something it usually means you’re dreaming since you lose your physical body and sense of touch in the astral state. If you’re in your bedroom when this happens look around for something out of place – the position of your pillow or the remote on the floor. When you wake up and see these in the same place you’ll have a better idea whether it was real or not. Whether or not yours was real depends on if you believe it was real – depending on the details of the event, of course. You could have already been in a projection and consciously woke up.
