The Brown Lady of Raynham Hall

The Brown Lady of Raynham Hall - This is probably the most famous ghost picture around. I remember this picture haunting me as a kid. The picture was taken in 1936 in Norfolk, England. The photographer was yelling that she could see the lady coming down the stairs but nobody else could see her. Some experts think it could be double-exposure (the usual argument) and others think it's genuine. From here on out, I won't explain that part - it's usually a given.
An interesting note to this story (courtesy of About.com): The lady is believed to be the wife of Charles Townshend. They lived there in the early 1700's and the house has been in the Townshend possession for 300 years. Charles Townshend was a great ancestor of Thomas Townsend Brown. He was an American physicist who experimented with anti-gravity and flying saucers in the 1930's. His name has been connected with the Philadelphia Experiment.

Backseat Ghost Passenger

This picture was taken by the passenger's wife. She claims there was nobody in the backseat at the time. The lady in the back seat was the photographer's mother who had died a week earlier. Again, this is one of the many pictures I remember as a kid.

A guardian Angel?

This has been going around the net for a few years now. I can't remember the exact story behind it, but I believe nobody died in that crash. If I'm wrong, somebody let me know.

Borley, UK Ghost

This was taken at Borley rectory. You can see the white figure floating through the trees.

The Ghost of Jane Churm

I like this picture. I'm not ever sure about the authenticity of these pictures but I like the story behind this one and I'll be bummed if it's fake. The photo was taken by Tony O'Rahilly on Nov. 19, '95. Wem Town Hall in Shropshire, England was burning to the ground. The picture was taken from across the street. Nobody saw the girl on the balcony. Dr. Vernon Harrison of the Royal Photographic society studied the print and the negative and concluded the photo was genuine. The strange part of this is that in 1677, Wem Town Hall had been burned to the ground as well by a young girl named Jane Churm who was carelessly playing with a candle. Her ghost was supposed to haunt that hall. Could that be her? I never did find out how the fire started this last time around.
