This "game" - so easily picked up at any store with a selection of games on hand - was what took me from my child-hood love of horror movies and ghost stories into the realm of the real-life paranormal studies. As a young teen, I sat around with a group of friends with my latest birthday present (if only my mom knew). I had played with other friends' Ouija Boards before but there was always the joker involved. This time, we recieved answers right away and began conversing with a spirit who called herself Diane (more about Diane to come in the ghosts section). My buddy and I looked across the board trying to catch the other for some sign of a hoax; the 3 on-lookers laughed the whole thing off. This went on until we both asked the same question to one of the friends no-where near the board. The board gave the answer to the surprise of us all. The on-lookers began recieving answers to their questions despite having no contact with the board in any way. Diane eventually became aggresive and threatened to possess my dog and kill me if I stayed there that night. I figured she was bluffing, but needless to say, I didn't sleep at home.
   I spent the next couple years testing it out with a friend on occasion (who hadn't been at my original Ouija initiation). He had a board of his own which we used when at his house. There were no more overly aggressive episodes, although the spirits would appear frustrated at times. After much experimentation, we learned that our boards were controlled by seperate entities at all times. Diane was always in control of my board, and my friend's by a male entity named Simon. Let's say we were on my board and we asked Simon a question, he would tell Diane what to write and vice versa. Simon and Diane both claimed to be our guardian angels but for all I know, they could just be lonesome spirits drawn to us.

*SPECIAL TIP!!*
   Having an unwanted guest (or parents in the room) can often be taken care of by having them ask the board a question only they know the answer to and watching them scream and run when the spirit answers them correctly. This works best on the skeptics. Oh, what fun!!
