The Wiccan Rede (or Creed) is to the Wiccan Faith as well-known Bible verses are to a Christian. An example would be, "do unto others..." The author of the Wiccan Crede is unknown from what I can tell. It goes as follows:

Bide ye the Wiccan Rede ye must,
In perfect love and perfect Trust.
Eight words the Wiccan Rede fulfill
An' it harm none, do as ye will
Lest in self defense it be,
Ever mind the Rule of Three
Follow ye this with mind and heart,
Merry ye meet, and merry ye part.

Notice the line "Ever mind the Rule of Three." This is probably the most important line in a Wiccan's vocabulary. What it means is that for every deed you do, it will come back threefold. For every good deed you do, you will receive 3 times the good deeds back to yourself. This also goes the other way: If you do a bad deed it will come back on you 3 times. This could literally mean 3 times the same thing or it could be 1 thing, 3 times as bad. That about sums up the rule of three because it's pretty self-explanatory.
With the Rule of Three and the rest of the Wiccan Rede, you will notice something far more different than the stereotypical witch beliefs. You will notice love, respect and caring. This goes for all Wiccans - it's the basis of their faith. I think we can all use the Wiccan Rede and live by its rules. The world might be a better place if we did.
