I like throwing these little articles in. They're fun to read and quick to write. I also add them often when I'm too busy to write anything longer.
This is one of those strange disappearances which go unsolved by everyone involved. This one come from Reader's Digest's Mysteries of the Unexplained. It involves a 2½ ton wrecking-ball!
In 1974, workers from the Dowling Construction Company of Indianapolis went home for the night. The left a crane sitting with the 2½ ton steel wrecking-ball hanging 200 feet off the ground. The next morning they came back to work and the wrecking-ball was gone. Everybody - police included - were baffled and the ball was never found!
