Yes, you know, the unsinkable luxury liner? Well, in 1898, Morgan Robertson published a novel called The Wreck of the Titan, or Futility. It was about a transatlantic luxury liner named the Titan. It was supposed to be unsinkable, but on its maiden voyage, it struck an iceberg and sank.
   On April 16, 1912, the Titanic set off for its much anticipated first transatlantic voyage. The 'unsinkable' struck an iceberg and sank. The following similarities between the earlier novel and the actual events are shown in the chart below.
