A lot of people wonder if they are psychic and if there's an easy way to test their abilities. I'm going to give you probably the simplest psychic test idea, so easy that you'll probably wonder why you haven't already thought of it - or if you have tried it, you'll know to try it again. All this test needs is a deck of cards and an open mind. You may need another person besides yourself either for the telepathy test or just to have fun with. I've sat with a friend on occasion, drinking a few beers on a Saturday night while taking turns back and forth to guess the cards. I personally found myself guessing my best around 2-3 beers - just enough to relax your body but not cloud your mind. Yeah, not much of a party, but at least we stayed out of trouble on those occasions and had fun doing it. Anyway, once you get into the groove, it's amazing how often you can be accurate.

Clairvoyancy Test

   There's 2 different tests I'm going to explain. They're both just as simple but require different forms of psychic abilities. The first is a clairvoyancy test. Clairvoyancy is being able to read the cards on your own. For the deck of cards, some people split them up leaving just the face cards and others leave just the number cards. Myself, I prefer playing with the entire deck but it doesn't really matter. The only difference is the number of cards you're picking. If someone's helping you, it's better just to stick with the 16 face cards so you can take turns and it won't take forever. By using only the face-cards (J to A) you will also be able to keep track of your psychic test results more easily.
   The deck sits on the table face-down. You will guess which card is on top before picking it up. If you have a partner, that person will record all the results while you're facing a different way. Make sure that you and your partner do not look at the card first. If by yourself, keep guessing away, recording your own results if you'd like. I've always just picked and picked until I felt like I was on a roll but I really should record it sometime.

Telepathy Test

   For testing telepathy, you will need a partner. With telepathy, you're psychically reading your partner's mind, not the cards. Again, you'll want to face away from your partner who will this time be looking at the cards you're guessing at. After each guess, your partner will record the results without telling you.

Recording your test results

   If you're using just the face cards, you will have a possible high score of 16. This will only happen to the most gifted of psychics. If guessing correctly only by chance, the average person will receive a score of 4. This could be higher or lower depending on how lucky you were - unless your psychic abilities were kicking in. As soon as you start getting more than 4 correct answers consecutively, it means you are beginning to grab hold of your hidden psychic powers. If you can hit at least 8 out of 16 correct on a regular basis you are doing very well!

Psychic Tips for your Psychic Test

   Don't think too hard when you're guessing the cards. It's not your conscious mind, but your subconcious mind that's doing the work. This is the area of thought in which true psychics have developed their listening abilities. Learning to listen to the little voice inside your head is what will greatly improve your psychic abilities, if not give them a kickstart into awakening. Thinking too hard will make you second guess yourself so take your first instinct and say it instantly. If picking the cards up myself, I will sometimes lay my fingers gently on the card before guessing but it didn't make much of a difference in my case. Everyone is different, though, and it may work for you. If it doesn't work the first time, don't give up. It usually takes a few tries to start becoming accurate - even after you've been accurate in your previous tests. When you do feel the psychic testing beginning to work, remember your state of mind and don't stop right away. Keep it going until you're more sure of yourself so you forget less the next time.
   If you're serious about developing your psychic abilities, then you should be able to get this test to work after a while. Your results will vary but that depends on your willingness to listen to your instincts. Everyone, yes everyone, can develop their psychic abilities and I hope this easy little psychic test will help in your training. Now that I've written this, I think I'm going to pull out my own cards again.
