I have a crap-load of theories, but most have to do with our brains' polarity and the fact that each star drags a certain amount of gravity (hence astrology!)
In essence, the time you were born = what stars were in the sky at that precise time + the affect their gravitational force had on your brain poles= how it affects your brain/life etc...
