Hate to be the bearer of bad news but that is a known animal with a very very bad case of mange, we get cyoties here some times that looks just like that. Yet there really is a Yahrin(sp) as the Chinese call him out there. Recently saw Monster Quest where they went to this same place and found and documented unknown primate hair, as well they found the same kind of food source in large areas that known mountain gorillas eat. So there is a large primate there and in time I'm sure it will be documented. Great link, thanks.

I thought it looked like a hairless something or other.  Like a dingo!

It doesn't say how big the creature is either. They say people thought it was a bear, or even a yeti, but the pictures make it out to be more like a small dog or a rodent. Poor thing looks scared and lonely locked up in that cage.  Sad

Doug, I agree! It is a poor creature! Sad they should really have given it a huge enclosure! Sad  And it looks like a type of rodent. I feel like I've seen something within the same family of classes, but it could possibly be the same one. It almost looks like an aardvark, or another similar species.
