If you're able to make it to the point where you're feeling vibrations, try imagining yourself climbing a rope. You're lying on your back with your hands pulling yourself up this rope, one after the other. Keep climbing until you finally look up to see the ceiling in your face. This might be the trick yourself and others may need. Some people find this way easier than the main one on this site and I should make another article for it.
Always bums me out to hear people that can't quite achieve it. Keep trying though because sometimes it'll take a while.

this morning i got VERY close to an OBE...I actually FELT MYSELF LIFTING!...and i started to see weird things...not my room but weird color patterns like flowing water...it was cool  That does sound pretty awesome. I like the method that Doug suggested also, I use something very similar to that myself. Also, you may want to try having an OBE after you wake up instead of when you're falling asleep. That helped a lot for me. Good luck!!

i still cant do it.. ive been working on it for months! lol um.. i think i get stuck at the :then i dont think part.. honestly when i try and not to think i think to my self you got to keep breathing or foucs on somthen then i realize im thinking and it gets annoying.. so i dont think i can stop thinking lol!

LOL, that is definitely a problem! I try to focus very intently on the darkness when I shut my eyes, when you try to do that it's almost like going "in" somewhere, well, something like that, it's hard to explain how it feels. I just close my eyes and concentrate VERY hard on the darkness, sometimes there are swirls of different colored lights and shapes, but that is only when I focus really hard, maybe that will help you stay awake without so much thinking?? It'll will give you something to concentrate on, without the distractions. Hope it helps!

tryed it... i end up thinking about the colors and how they swirll.. i did learn i can sort of controll the way they change sorta neat in a way..
is there some way to fully relax before an obe beacues i think i cant relax right..

Well, I think you and I go about it differently, because I try to keep my mind active while my body goes to sleep. I just say a little thing in my head, like "rest all the muscles in my leg" I do that for everything legs, arms, etc. Then I just keep trying to think of things (like the swirls when you close your eyes), and eventually my body falls asleep (I also don't move at all) and I can feel the "vibration" or tingly sensation, then comes paralysis, and then poof! OBE.
So you're trying NOT to think, and I try very hard to keep my mind active. I don't think my method is any better, it just works well for me. Anyway, good luck!!
