Hello, I am new to this whole thing but my interest in the topic has been with me my whole life. I grew up in a house with a lot of strange things happening in it, and even now lets just say I am really picky about were I choose to live.

Iv been bored for awhile and well yesterday I found this site and it was pretty awesome
I always wanted to see or hear ghost and maybe find an alien looking at the tree's
but where I live nothing like that is going to happen

Hi everyone! I feel like I've cheated as I've been reading the post for a while now, I already feel like I know most of you here to a certain extent! I am a little shy and very new to forums so please bear with me! So here's me in a nutshell....
  I'm 29, proud mother of 4 (13 (today!), 6, 5, 4 yrs old). I have had paranormal experiences for as long as I can remember, even though "feeling" things, and seeing things was an everyday occurance for me, it definitely wasn't for those around me, especially my parents, so being "different" was never a positive experience for me. When I became married and started having a family I felt even more pressure to be normal, I joined the church, the PTA, etc. and I tried....very hard. However, now that I'm hovering on 30 and realizing how fast time really does go, I'm on a mission to "find" myself. I guess I'm starting to realize that the "gifts" I have really are .....gifts, and I want my children to know me...the real me. It also doesn't hurt that I'm staring to suspect at least 1 of my children (maybe 2) are very much like me, and I want them to have the acceptance that I didn't. So I ended up here. It may be because of the circumstances surrounding my life thus far, but I tend to be skeptical, at least at first. I believe wholeheartedly in the paranormal and other strange things,( like believing what is "spoonfed" to us by the Govt. and media is most likely way off base...shout out Holly B!) I believe that ANYTHING is possible, even our current view of reality, but I just can't take everything at face value, so I loved The Astral World. The way Doug put the site together really appealed to me, so here I am, in all my broken glory  . I really felt a connection to the others already here, and I'm hoping I can become part of the community. There are a few subjects I've seen that I would really love to post on, but I may just have time for this, so here's to tomorrow.

Thank-you! You are doing something great! Can't wait for the changes. Unfortunately, I won't be making any suggestions b/c I am possibly the most artistically challenged person in the Northern Hemisphere, sorry!
