Detecting Psy-vamps

I went to a party (just a lunch really) today and im almost %100 sure that there was a psy vampire there and they were draining my energy. I had trouble detecting who it was though. I was just wondering what a good way is  or how you can detect which person is draining your energy?

Two ways I know of, one: lock onto that feeling as it drains you and follow it back to it's source, but protect yourself if doing this, the other: pull the drain feeling just out side of you then burn it and see who reacts. This too can have it's problems so always protect yourself.

I'm sorry I can't help you with this subject. To be really honest I just started believing in psy-vamps myself(well a bit more open anyway). It's this "vampire" culture as a whole that I just can't get with. Now don't get me wrong I've read every Anne Rice book ever written, but these days, with everyone going vampire crazy (do you know they "sparkle" now?   ) it's a bit ridiculous to me.

I'm pretty sure that Tolkus would be the one you want to talk with, he knows much more than I do.

Sorry I couldn't help more. Do you think you have had other experience with "psyvamps", or is this your first time?

Its only recently that Ive learnt what a psy-vamp is. I had known the word but I never bothered to check what it meant because like you Brighid I never got into the whole vampire thing and just brushed it off. Since Ive learnt about them, there is one particular group of people I always seem to lose energy around and I started to think that there might be a psy-vamp among them.
At the party I had recently, I felt my energy being drained after my dad left the room because he was becoming sluggish and sleepy (I wonder why ). Soon enough I became tired, so I tried to feel how my energy was being drained and cut that link off because I couldn't trace it. After a while I stopped feeling tired and eventually got my energy back. So I suppose Ive experienced psy-vamps in the past, but I didn't know that they were the ones draining my energy. This one was the first time I have known and defended myself from one.
I really don't understand what the current vampire hype is all about, especially all the drama and love crap (blargh) no offence to anyone who follows it, but I just find it boring.

It's the recent and soon more movies about teens in love with Vamps, you know the goth stuff, it's popular right now. Thank God they have made a joke moive about Vampires now. I was wondering about the Twilight books now movies  aren't these Vampire suppose to be reather old? How old are these Vampires suppose to be that are going after young teen girls.... talk about your pedifiles...
 As for psyvamps, do understand that there are a lot of people out there that don't know that they are doing that. First find out if it an intentional attack on you or not. If not tell the person what they are doing and they maybe be highly surpried that they are doing it.

i have no tips to start off because i cant even tell when im being drained.. any ways.. i also agree that every is freaking vampire crazy.. i hear the good show to watch though with vamps is True Blood, my mom sister and uncle love that show and aparently.. there based off books that have alot of sex, killing, more sex, and vampiers that make sence, im so sick of the twilight vampire.. oh im a vegitariean.. seriously? no.

Ha Ha Ha... You guys are awesome!  You all make me laugh, I love the banter about the twilight B.S.... classic, you all have made my day!!!   N-E-way, I have had a few run-ins with psy-vamps the past few years at college and from what I know Tolkus has his finger on the money.  Actually, One of my friends recently had a run-in with a spy-vamp.  He had no idea what was going on until I told him (I didn't even know until it was brought to my attention by somebody else).  Anywhooo, I helped him out and told him about looping vampires and taking back what they took from him (it was two sharing him).  If there is anything else you think I should let him know about let me know, pls.  Also, I've been thinking of introducing him to this site for tips and tricks from somebody else beside me and his dad.  He's a good guy but super-Duper Cherry.  Let me know what Ya'll think.

Secondly, I actually had a battle with those vamps that had a hold on him last night and it was @*#*@#* awesome, loads of fun!  I suggest everybody do it at least once in his/her life.  I am finally Jedi, YAY!!!   If anybody wants details let me know.

Okay, about the battle.  It has been a while since it happened so I will try to remember as much as possible.  AS stated before, He involved himself in a relationship with a psy vamp unknowingly.  I found out what was going on and convinced him to break it off.  I wasn't sure if I was going to try and break the connection myself or leave it up to him.  I realized that I would have to do it when he broke up with her.  I knew exactly when it happened because she came after me.  It wasn't that hard to fight her off and break the connection to him, but her friend, the one she was sharing him with, was much more difficult.  The second was defenitely the dominate in the relationship, the more powerful one.  As for how I dealt with it, I will have to think for a moment.  First I logged in to his psyche and her psyche and took control of the connection.  I made it so she could no longer feed off of him and gave him back some of the things she took from him (I didn't give it all back because I felt that it would be better if he did it himself).  As it turned out, she was getting help from a demon (or just some malevolent spirit, I refer to them as demons).  I threw the demon out by grabbing her by the neck (in my mind's eye) and pulling her astral self out of her real self, and after that I turned her off, looped her, and gave her some uncomfortable feeling (as punishment for taking what is not freely given and performing feets of trickery).  After this I thought the whole ordeal was over but she called to her friend, the one in charge, for help, which she provided.  I tried the same strategy and it worked, to an extent.  It was not as easy but, after much persistence, it worked.  I met up with him after and told him what happened and told him how to take back what was taken from him and how to fend off any future attacks.  This was his first altercation of this sort.  He went to bed and I went on about my business thinking it was over.  It wasn't.  Less than 15 minutes later I was walking somewhere and the thought occurred to me that I might need something to protect my neck since it is such a vulnerable point.  Almost instantly a green dragon (demon to me) presented me with a gift to protect my neck.  Not thinking or asking questions I accepted.  He (the dragon) then cut me off from everybody and everything and gave all of my abilities to my friend that I just helped.  Anyway, I figured out what was happening the next day and fought it off.  Thats all that I can remember right now but If I remember anymore I will share.   Peace!!!
